Videocracy Basta Apparire

Eventually we have received it!

We’re talking about “Videocracy Basta Apparire” the new documentary signed by Erik Gandini.

More info can be gathered at IMDB

We have not seen it yet, but we will the sooner and we will spit out some comments on it.

Quoting from ATMO WebSite:

In Italy one man only has kept the domination of the image over three entire decades. As a TV-magnate and then as Presidente, Silvio Berlusconi has created a perfect system of TV-entertainment and politics.
Like no one else he has influenced the content of commercial television in Italy. His TV-channels, known for their over-exposure of almost naked girls, are seen by many as a mirror of his own taste and personality.
Director Erik Gandini lives in Sweden but was born and brought up in Italy.
In Videocracy he returns to his country of birth portraying from the inside the consequences of a TV-experiment that Italians have been subjected to for 30 years. He gets a unique access to the most powerful spheres, even in the President’s summer resort in Sardinia. Unveiling a remarkable story, born out of the scary reality of TV-republic Italy, a country where the step from TV-showgirl to Minister for Gender Equality is only natural.

Video Reviews: Dot.Com – Fantastic Movie!

August 29th, 2009 No comments

hey people!

As you probably know I do have a big collection of movies and I really love watching movies, always in Original Version although sometime I do watch movies in a language I dunno!

Today I would like to talk about this movie:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0793413/

The movie is in Portugues/Castellano and is very very nice!

It goes about a very small village in Portugal where the engineer in charge of deploying the new road to better connect the town to the civilization owns and run the village’s web domain http://aguasaltas.com/. It happens that a Spanish Company named Aguas Altas wants the domain and this generates a WAR between the AguasAltas’ villagers, the Portugues Government, the AguasAltas company and some Spanish disrupters!

I invite you to rent/get the movie and watch it. It has a lot of sense of humor and touches the web domain possession theme in a very countryside way. I loved it.

Here is a small trailer!
